Today seemed ruled by Murphy's Law. It was a Monday with a vengeance, and despite my best intentions, I just couldn't catch a break...and then it rained. The rain drops did not fall lightly upon my brow; they fell harshly upon my suede pumps. A soft wind did not freshen my spirit; rather an angry gust caught my umbrella and turned it inside out. The sunshine did not brighten my heart, but instead combined with the steamy air to turn my coif into a frizzy mess. Today, the burdens of the day weighed down, and in the end, I'm exhausted. But there's always tomorrow...
