The New Generation of Rose Fragrances — Ever since a trip to Ladurée Beauté on the rue de Rivoli where they spritzed my package with rose cologne, the fragrance has reminded me of Paris. I love Diptyque’s Roses candle, but let’s face it, much of the allure comes from the beautiful minimalistic branding. I think I actually prefer White Barn/Bath and Body Work’s relatively inexpensive version, Rosewater and Ivy, available in candles, hand soap, and even car air freshener. I also love Trader Joe’s Rose Water Facial Toner. *

And speaking of PBS, I am so eager for this: Hemingway: The Man. The Myth. The Writer Revealed (a film by Ken Burns) airing April 5-7.
