(#decemberphotochallenge - Day 15: Favorite Holiday Song)
It was hard to choose a favorite holiday song, but I narrowed it down to two that, for me, epitomize the reason for the season: Schubert's Ave Maria (not technically a Christmas song, but so lovely and a special part of our wedding ceremony) and O Holy Night (which I love in both English and French). One of my favorites aspects of the holiday season is the music. My own Christmas playlist goes into heavy rotation as soon as I start decorating after Thanksgiving. It's an eclectic mix, but each song evokes special memories. Some songs are traditional, sacred, timeless; others are silly, even ridiculous, but each reflects aspects of home and the time when I grew up.
